BIg Orange football is ranked third in the country behind USC and Texas. Eric Ainge, an awesome defensive line, Gerald Riggs etc etc have rightfully staked their claim to greatness. No sense going into a lot of detail about it but there is only one issue to overcome this year. The schedule stinks. Too many big away games.
But...I see a team that squeaks by a couple of big games, gets a little lucky, and then gets invited to the Rose Bowl as a big underdog, a lucky team, an undeserving team,....to play USC for the National Championship. Texas will have lost to Oklahoma to knock them out of the picture.
And how do we do in the big game? A blowout win by the Big Orange when we show the left coast that beating an SEC Team is a lot different than beating teams with killer nicknames like "Ducks" and "Cardinal" (no S, it's the color not the bird).
So sit back and enjoy another National Championship ride. Go Vols.
